Bricasti are a relatively new player in terms of studio effects manufacturing. However, their pedigree and heritage should not be overlooked. In 2003/4, the corporate powerhouse that is Harman, restructured one of the many audio businesses it owned - Lexicon. Anyone familiar with the names that grace pretty much every professional recording studio will recognise Lexicon as being in this esteemed group.
Brian Zolner and Casey Dowdell were long-time employees of Lexicon who decided to jump ship and focus on the process that had made Lexicon such a ubiquitous name in studio land, namely - Reverb. Indeed, the name Bricasti is a blend of the two founders first names....with a little artistic licence. Launching the M7 they hit critical and commercial success immediately.
